The morning after

It is a bitter 17 degrees this morning on the Course. The snow fall is beautiful out here, and it looks like many people enjoyed it yesterday. There was a lot of traffic on the course yesterday, mostly people on foot or sled. There is little reason to be concerned about damage caused by foot or sled traffic, unless they are on the greens. Walking across the greens probably won't hurt them but the covers could get torn or snagged by a led or aggressive boot. This not only damages the cover but leaves the green open and could get too cold. So please if you see people near the greens gently remind them to stay off of the Green.

We did have vehicle traffic on the course yesterday too. Someone or someones were out on a four wheeler or two. They did not get on the greens but did travel across several tee tops and fairways. I do not know the amount of damage if any. I do not believe there is much. I would like to remind everyone that 4 wheelers are not permitted on the property, member or not. If anyone sees a vehicle of any kind, other than a golf cart, on the course or paths to notify a club official. Either Jeff or myself would be best. Contacting the police is  another option, especially if they are causing damage.

Thanks!
