Decision
There is little chance that the Course would be playable by tomorrow. After talking with the Tournament Committee and the Proshop we have decided to cancel the Superbowl Scramble. Please come out for the Superbowl Party and do not forget to buy a square! GO STEELERS!
Still don't know?
We are blowing and shovleing snow off of the covers as I type, the 1 1/2" layer of ice is going to be our problem. We are doing what we can and will keep everyone updated.

Wish I knew! 2
Snow still falling. We have nearly about an inch of snow as of 11:30. And still falling. I am still planning on cleaning the snow off of the covers in the morning and removing them as soon as they thaw. However, the more snow that falls, the thicker the ice will be in the morning. The thicker the ice the longer it takes to thaw.
At this point all I can say is.....We will have to wait and see.
Thanks.

I am watching the weather and forming several different plans of attack. Unfortunately I am in a waiting pattern. We have to see what kind of precipitation we get.
Right now we are holding on to our original plan of removing the covers tomorrow afternoon as soon as they melt. We hope to be in early tomorrow to begin clearing snow and ice off of the covers in order to expedite the thawing.
As I said I am also planning for other scenarios depending on what the weather actually does.
My major goal is to play the Superbowl Scramble as scheduled with out putting our Greens at risk.
Thanks, as always suggestions and comments are welcome. Please feel free to comment on this page or e-mail me at jjasonbaker@sbcglobal.net

Weather and Current plans.
Although the weather for this weekend looks promising the days leading up to it and immediately following look bitter!
As of this morning My plans for the greens are this: We will remove the covers as soon as we are able to Saturday. We will have to wait for the covers to thaw completely before we begin. It is hard to predict an accurate time frame for this, but an educated guess says we could start removing the covers around noon.
However, the amount of snow we receive Friday, if any, will greatly affect the time frame. I will need everyone to be patient as I am at the mercy of mother nature. We will do everything we can.
The current forecast has us needing to cover the greens again Monday morning.
As always I will keep you updated as our plans change. Thanks.

Thanks for the Help!
Yesterday evening I got a call from the Krausers that the cover on #8 had blown off.
Andy, Andy's friend Graham, Todd and Stephanie Krauser and myself struggled to re-cover the green with the frozen tarp.
After a phone call to the locker room much needed help arrived. I would like to thank John Ussery, Bill Jett, Jim Watts, and JJ for helping hands in the bitter cold. Also thanks to the Krausers. I apologize if I am forgetting anyone else who helped, but it was kind of dark!
The green is fine by the way.
To update everyone on when we will un-cover, I am not yet sure, but today's forecast looks like it might be Saturday afternoon.

Rainy day!
Hope everyone is inside and dry today. We are getting quite a bit of rain and waiting to see how much, if any, ice we get tonight. Temperatures are supposed to drop drastically this afternoon and tonight, and remain cold through the week. I hope to begin removing covers Friday afternoon, although we will have to wait and see. Here is a picture of #3 taken about 10:30 today.
