Course is still very wet
We have had an extraordinarily wet late winter/ early spring! The course is saturated! With more rain to come tonight.
I would like to remind everyone to keep carts on paths.
While we are still Cartpath Only damage is still occuring while carts pass one another going toward the green. Please try to be cognizant of the wet areas just off the paths and remain single file. Thank you.

Almost
We were able to get 1-14 before the rain came. We will remove the remainder as soon as possible over the next few days.
Uncovering This morning
We will attempt to uncover this morning. We will begin at 10:00am The covers are wet and quite heavy so it may take us longer than usual to remove. I hope to have the first tee time off of #1 around 12:00pm, but to be sure please check with Golf Shop.
If any significant rain moves in the covers will become too heavy to handle and we will have to try again tomorrow. Thank you for your patience.

Uncovering: plan B
I am sorry but we will be unable to remove the covers today. As you can see below they are still covered with ice.
We will be out again tomorrow morning to evaluate the situation. If they are melted, thawed and dry enough wewill remove them.
At this point the course is still unplayable regardless if covers. Hopefully we will have another good melt today. Thak you.

Uncovering Greens?
Saturday's forecast looks to be a nice day for golf. Unfortunately it does not look like we will be able have the covers off tomorrow, not to mention the course is so wet it might be unplayable.
We are having a good melt today and tomorrow should finish the job, I am just not confident that the covers will melt, thaw and dry in time to remove tomorrow.
My staff is prepared to come in mid day tomorrow if the covers are ready and the course is playable. I will keep everyone updated here.
These pictures were taken this morning at 10:00am on 6 green. As you can see there is a two+ inch layer of ice cocering the entire green.

Snow Days
With snow days the course gets plenty of traffic. The majority of traffic is sledders and walkers. If they are members
These visitors are no problem to our course, unless they get on the greens. Sleds with rales or boots with aggressive tread can damage our covers. Golf carts can do minor damage if taken off of paths.

My major concern is alway 4 wheelers. Please be reminded that these machines are not allowed on the course. If you live in the course and notice anyone operating any vehicle other than a golf cart please report it to MPD at their non emergency phone number.
Last weeks snow brought out a few wheelers. One decided to go across fairways and one green. We were lucky no damage was done. So if you live on the course please help keep an
eye out.
